The house SOLD!!

Well after I battled for the past two years to sell it, it is gone! Last night when I signed the papers it was a very bitter sweet thing. I guess is a way I was glad to have it still around to remind me of the good times that my ex, Kim and I had building it and making it ours. The day that I had to make it "mine" was the day I knew it had to be sold.

The stress of selling a home ranks right up there with the divorce. I told the realtor that after this there are two things that I will never do again and that was buy a home and get married. But as they say when you close one chapter of life you begin another. I am very nervous about the new chapter I am embarqing on due to this years issues. I know that my life could be so much worse but I sit and wonder after talking to friends that have sick realatives and have had hardships of their own how much can one person take?

I have found that as long as you have something to believe in and friends and family that care no matter how hard life gets, you always have them to rebound off of as if they are your backboard in lifes basketball ball game.

How do you get thru to a 3yr old?

This weekend was a disaster! Zachary decided he would not listen and would laugh at me when I would correct him and exclaimed that he did it because he wanted to!! I tried time out, spanking, calling santa, and everything I tried he just got worse.

I don't know if I am expecting to much from him but he has never acted like this. He has also started working the two household thing to which I thought we could avoid for a while longer. Any advice is welcome!!! This week he is back with his mom so i only hope she does not have to experience what I did. At one point I was near tears due to the frustration.

Halloween was a task!

Wow getting a three yr old ready and taking him trick or treating by yourself is not an easy task!! Zachary was all about trick or treating this year. I was sad Kim could not be there. He was ready to go at 5:00, I managed to stall him till 6. Our new house is a hot spot for trick or treaters. Zachary saw some people with their dogs so he wanted to take jackson with us, so we did. After hitting a few streets in the hood we headed to a friends house that had a party with bounce house. All in all we had a good time and were worn out by the end of the night! Hope all had a great Halloween!

Ending of another chapter of life and the start of a new one

Well I got about 99% of everything moved this weekend with the helo of friends and family! It was a weekend of mixed emotion. You never realize that a home is what you make of it, until you stand in the empty shell that you called home.

I have already decided my new beggining for 2010 will be to simplify life. After moving and taking inventory of all the "stuff" around I decided that it was time to get back to basics and really look at what do I need and what is just extra baggage. 2010 will be a new beggining and I want to go into it with a little less baggage!

Wow i forget how much hassle moving is! I am ready to be done with it! Zachary is excited to have another new house to live in. He was not happy about some of his toys getting boxed up and sent to storage. Everything shold be done this weekend!

Rain Rain Rain

My poor litle guy is going stir crazy in our crazy wet weather! I have found it to be an interesting task reasoning with a 3yr old! Over the past week we have gotten 8 inches of rain and add that to the 8 inches we got a few weeks ago our lake is just about full again! And all of this just in time for us to move. Still no deal on the house which is not looking good, but I guess there is a plan and a reason why nothing has happened yet.

Moving Day is coming

I will finally be moving back to the city! In two weeks I will be back in Fort Worth and very happy to be there. Found place close to down town and cultural district that is right in the heart of Fort Worth. Should be a good change from solitary confinment in the country for the last year. Anyone around that wants to lend a hand in the move feel free! ha ha

October road trip

Zachary and I will be headed out on a road trip next month, our fall adventure! I have been wanting to take him to Arbuckle Wilderness in OK or a wildlife park like that for a while. I cannot wait to embark on a road trip alone with a 3 yr pld busy body!

Day at the Stockyards

I took Zachary to the stockyards Saturday for an animal show and he was more interesting in riding the mechanical bull instead! He had a whole cheering section and never fell off! He has informed me that he now wants to to be a bull rider when he grows up. Not sure how that wil go over with his mom. I told him he could start with mutton busting! He is on board for that! I feel sorry for the lamb!! ha ha
